Good Evening Alasdair, Informative interview as ever. Thank you.

I have a couple of questions to ask if I may be so bold regarding the situation here in the UK.

Now that the cat is out of the bag vis 'a vis the UK going as guarantor to Ukraine for a huge sum which it seems to have come back to bite whoever decided it was a good idea to do it in the first place.🤦🏻‍♂️ Just how bad a position are we in?

We know that the BoE has taken losses into the billions on the bonds they bought at their highest level during the scamdemic and now their only worth about 48% of their value.(I think) Of course that hit has been dumped onto the public because due to some myopic government agreement we, the public, get to take the hit on all the banks losses yet we're not allowed to share in their profits. Wonderful decision that was🤦🏻‍♂️!!

Also, when everything went awry in '22 when it was discovered that the pension funds were playing fast and loose with the LDIs and nearly collapsed the entire pension system. Just how well have they really recovered, given that they must've also been hit by bond losses too?

And lastly, you talked about there being a bond strike in regards to the US 10 treasury. Do you foresee a UK gilt strike coming too? Are we about to see a real problem coming for Sterling?

£228bn in loan guarantees for Ukraine. Under Lord King, the BoE worked a blinder re QE. The bond buyers strike won't be limited to tthe US, IMO.

Thank you. 228 eh? That's going to hurt. No wonder they wanted to keep that quiet from the ordinary person. Bailey has a lot to answer for and yet no doubt he will get a bloody knighthood and a huge fat bonus. The bigger the loss, the better the reward these days 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

If Ukraine loses this war, Ukraine will default, and the British people will be responsible for repaying the £228bn Ukranian debt. If Ukraine survives, bankers will grab the "trillion dollars' worth of minerals" in Ukraine that Lindsey Graham is talking about as debt repayment. So as they say, privatize the gains and socialize the losses.
